What is an impersonation account? The impersonation account is a dedicated Sage Estimating user that is exclusively used by Eos Navigator's report and integration service.
Why is it required? Sage Estimating requires that all external applications access their SDK as a registered system user. Eos Navigator uses the impersonation account to stage reportable data in an efficient and re-usable manner. Windows authentication must be used; SQL Server authentication is not supported.
How is it set up? The impersonation account is initially set up in Sage's Management Console. The account must be affiliated with an Active Directory user and have read only permissions. Once created the associated user must successfully launch Sage Estimating to authenticate the user profile.
